Jimmy Carter Reportedly to Visit North Korea to Free Kenneth Bae
posted on July 30, 2013Nicola Menzie of The Christian Post reports, “Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter is preparing to take a trip to North Korea ‘very soon’ to try and secure the release of Christian missionary Kenneth Bae, according to South Korea’s leading news agency.” Bae, who is a naturalized American, was convicted of hostile acts against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in May and has been serving his sentence at a labor camp. It has been revealed that in addition to visiting orphans, Bae also engaged in evangelical activities while in North Korea.
