Jimmy Carter Reportedly to Visit North Korea to Free Kenneth Bae

Nicola Menzie of The Christian Post reports, “Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter is preparing to take a trip to North Korea ‘very soon’ to try and secure the release of Christian missionary Kenneth Bae, according to South Korea’s leading news agency.” Bae, who is a naturalized American, was convicted of hostile acts against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in May and has been serving his sentence at a labor camp. It has been revealed that in addition to visiting orphans, Bae also engaged in evangelical activities while in North Korea.
