Why Many Religious Liberty Groups Are Silent About the Supreme Court’s Decision on Trump’s Travel Ban

The Washington Post’s Michelle Boorstein reports that religious liberty groups have not been vocal about the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Trump’s travel ban to mostly Muslim-majority countries. The organizations focused on releasing statements on the court’s decision on abortion instead. Noah Feldman, a scholar of constitutional law at Harvard, says, “But this makes it look like what the court cares about is the religion of evangelical Christians, not Muslims. It makes it look like the Supreme Court doesn’t have a general concern for religion. It looks badly motivated.”
