Trump Refuses to Endorse Paul Ryan in GOP Primary
posted on August 3, 2016At The Washington Post, Philip Rucker reports that Donald Trump said in an interview that he would not endorse Republican leaders Paul Ryan and John McCain in their upcoming primary elections. Ryan and McCain both endorsed the Republican nominee, though they have criticized him at times, including over his feud with the Khan family. Rucker writes, “Trump’s comments underscore the continuing divisions in the GOP two weeks after the party’s national convention in Cleveland, which was carefully choreographed to showcase unity.”
