Trinity Church Split on How to Manage $2 Billion Legacy of a Queen

In response to a lawsuit filed by a “disenchanted parishioner,” Manhattan’s Trinity Church, an Episcopal parish, released estimates of its worth, calculating more than $2 billion in assets, reports Sharon Otterman of The New York Times. “The parish’s good fortune has become an issue in the historic congregation, which has been racked by infighting in recent years over whether the church should be spending more money to help the poor and spread the faith, in New York and around the world,” Otterman writes.
