At First Things, Christopher Palko contemplates last Tuesday’s socially conservative March for Marriage, whose participants were a “majority-minority group.” Among the racially diverse protest, there was an “outsized presence of Hispanic Evangelicals,” Palko noted. In order to win over these minority voters, Palko advises the GOP to “resist the temptation that the route back to power is through abandoning social conservatism. The moral traditionalism of American conservatism will serve as a far more likely gateway for minority voters than, say, capital gains tax cuts.”
