Study: U.S. Religious Diversity Moderate by Comparison

Meredith Somers of The Washington Times reports that religious diversity in the United States is moderate relative to other countries, according to a new survey by the Pew Research Center. The U.S. scored a 4.1 on a 10-point scale, ranking 68th out of the 232 countries and territories reviewed in the study. “There’s an important distinction between religious diversity and religious freedom,” the study reads. “While adherents of many world religions live in the United States  … most of those religions each represent less than 2 percent of the U.S. population.”
