Scholar and Preacher Jonathan Lee Walton Named Next President of Princeton Seminary
posted on October 18, 2022Adelle M. Banks of Religion News Service reports, “The Rev. Jonathan Lee Walton, an academician, preacher and administrator who has served on the faculties of Wake Forest and Harvard divinity schools, has been named the next president of Princeton Theological Seminary.” Walton is a Baptist minister and will be the first African American president of the seminary. He also serves on the board of the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics, which publishes this journal.
