Pope, Archbishop of Canterbury Battle Trafficking

Nicole Winfield of the Associated Press reports on a Monday meeting between Pope Francis and Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury and head of the Anglican Communion, where the two promised to work together to combat human trafficking. Although theological divisions remain among Catholics and Anglicans, the two leaders were able to find “common ground on a social issue.” According to Welby, human trafficking “is a crime that we all need to overcome as a matter of urgency, as a matter of human dignity, freedom and wholeness of life.”
