New Poll: Americans Disagree with Hobby Lobby
posted on October 4, 2016In Religion Dispatches, Sunnivie Brydum reports, “In a striking rebuke of the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision, a new Pew poll reveals that a majority of Americans (67%) support employee access to contraception through workplace-provided insurance, even if the employer has a religious objection to providing such benefits.” The same poll indicates that people are far more divided on allowing transgender people to use their bathroom of choice, and whether or not wedding service providers should be able to refuse same-sex couples on religious grounds.
