London Becomes a Leading Destination for French Jews After Attacks
posted on April 25, 2016The New York Times‘ Kimiko de Freytas-Tamura reports that nearly 5,000 French Jews have migrated to Britain over the last two years as violence has increased on the mainland. London has emerged as a popular destination as the U.K. does not require a visa from French citizens to work, and synagogues are adjusting their services to fit the needs of French Jews. “When people around you get attacked, it’s frightening,” said Kevin Nakache, who recently resettled in London. “You start thinking you’re next.”
