LA Catholic Church Abuse Files: Archdiocese Gives up on Fight to Redact Names

The Huffington Post’s Gillian Flaccus reports that the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles has decided to release 30,000 pages of confidential personnel files, revealing the names of church leaders who handled issues pertaining to sexual abuse. This decision comes after a five-year legal battle over the priest’s privacy rights. Ray Boucher, the lead attorney for plaintiff, said that the contents of the files are “chilling.”
