Ken Thompson’s Mission for Racial Equality in the Justice System

In New York, Geoffrey Gray profiles Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson, whose fight against racial bias in New York’s justice system has fueled his rise to prominence. Thomspon owes his political career to his friend and confidant the Rev. A. R. Bernard, who advises Thompson still. “Ken sees this as a calling,” Bernard says. “He sees this as a divine summons to have a platform to engage in what is very close to his heart.”
