Jim Wallis Talks Faith’s Role In Politics, Gay Marriage And Immigration
posted on April 8, 2013In interviews with The Huffington Post last Friday, evangelical pastor and political activist Jim Wallis spoke about his new book, On God’s Side: What Religion Forgets and Politics Hasn’t Learned about Serving the Common Good. The Huffington Post‘s Jaweed Kaleem reports that Wallis said he supports same-sex marriage, a reversal of his previous stance. Wallis also said, “This book …says, really, that this ethic of loving your neighbor as yourself is in all of our traditions but it’s also in our secular democratic tradition—the Golden Rule, treat others as you want to be treated.”
