Japan Buddhists Launch Monks Without Borders

Danielle Demetriou of The Telegraph writes about Monks without Borders, a new organization formed by a group of Buddhists in Japan intended to unite religious sects by tackling global issues, such as poverty and discrimination. Hiroaki Nakajima, chief priest at Jokoji Temple in Kyoto city and one of the founders of Monks without Borders said, “Normally, Buddhists do not have interactions with people from different schools, but I think we can unite through Buddhism. I believe we can go anywhere, like Doctors without Borders.”
