Indiana Governor Signs Bill Mandating Abortion Information

Eric Holcomb signed a new law that will require medical providers who treat women for complications arising from abortions to report detailed patient information to the state.” Opponents of the bill have argued that the measure will only serve to further stigmatize abortion, which has relatively low complication rates. Indiana has passed several anti-abortion laws in recent years, some of which have been blocked from taking effect after successful court challenges.
