Evangelical Lutheran Church Installs First Transgender Bishop
posted on September 14, 2021The Associated Press reports, “The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America installed its first openly transgender bishop in a service held in San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral on Saturday.” The Rev. Megan Rohrer enters the role after serving as a congregational minister, police department chaplain coordinator, and minister for the city’s homeless and LGBTQ communities.
