Coalition of Christians Pushes Congress to Protect Poor from Forced Spending Cuts

A group of Christian leaders known as the Circle of Protection recently urged Obama and Congress to “protect the poor from the forced spending cuts,” writes Dan Merica of CNN. The group wrote in their open letter that, “Congress can and must develop a balanced and thoughtful path forward that protects the most vulnerable and preserves economic opportunity.”
