A Decade On, Southern Baptists Adapt To New Role

The Associated Press reports on the Southern Baptist Convention’s waning influence on culture and politics, as the group gathers in Houston for their annual meeting on Tuesday. Compared to a decade ago, the largest U.S. Protestant denomination “has less influence in government and a growing diversity that may be diminishing its role as a partisan political player,” writes the AP.
