Kenya’s Christians And Muslims Unite To Combat Addiction
posted on June 30, 2013Fredrick Nzwili of Religion News Service reports that in Kenya, fractious religious groups “are uniting to tackle alcohol and drug abuse” in a country where drug use has recently reached “crisis levels.” Nzwili writes that religious leaders are working hard to address the issue: “From Sunday schools to Islamic madrassas, the groups are providing preventative education, public awareness and life skills training.”
