AP Exclusive: Abortions Declining in Nearly All States
posted on June 8, 2015The Associated Press’s David Crary reports on why abortion rates are declining not only in states with restrictive laws but also in states that protect the right to abortion. Many states with anti-abortion laws “have seen their abortion numbers drop by more than 15 percent since 2010,” Crary writes. “But more liberal states such as New York, Washington and Oregon also had declines of that magnitude, even as they maintained unrestricted access to abortion.”
