Will California’s Governor Approve a Right to Die?

At TIME, Josh Sanburn writes on California Governor Jerry Brown and whether he will sign the state’s bill on physician-assisted suicide, which just passed the state Senate. Brown is Catholic and briefly attended seminary. “Gov. Brown, more than any other official I know, really concerns himself with the philosophical and moral overtones of an issue,” says Gar Culbert, a California State University-Los Angeles political science professor. “This is the sort of issue that he’s going to spend some time thinking about.”
