Religious Groups Want U.S. to Accept 100,000 Syrian Refugees

Curtis Skinner of Reuters reports that religious groups have called on the U.S. government to step up its “disappointing” response to the Syrian refugee crisis. Church World Service, backed by several other religious and secular organizations, “has called on the government to take in 100,000 Syrians over the next year.” Since 2011, the United States “has accepted 1,500 refugees, most of them this year.”
