Evangelicals Hope to Find Candidates in the Pulpit

At The State, Andrew Shain writes that the American Renewal Project is training pastors and ministers across America on how to run for political office. “We’re looking for people – who know the word (of God), who know the culture – to run,” American Renewal leader David Lane said. Shain reports that more than 300 ministers “are expected to assemble in North Charleston on Friday to receive training on how to run for school board, city council, the State House and Congress.”
