Gov. Scott Walker: “I Don’t Know” Whether Obama is a Christian
In The Washington Post, Dan Balz and Robert Costa report on Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s Saturday comment that he is not sure whether President Obama is Christian. Walker, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, cast his answer to the question, asked by a reporter, as a critique on the media, saying, “To me, this is a classic example of why people hate Washington and, increasingly, they dislike the press. The things they care about don’t even remotely come close to what you’re asking about.” Walker’s comments come a week after those of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who voiced doubts about President Obama’s patriotism at a private dinner Walker attended.
