In The Washington Post, William Booth writes, “Whether or not Mike Huckabee becomes president of the United States, the nation of Israel—and especially Israel’s hard-line right wing—have few more devoted fans than the former Arkansas governor, evangelical pastor and gung-ho tour guide to the Holy Land.” Huckabee has led dozens of tours for the “Israel Experience With Mike Huckabee,” which focuses on Biblical history and pro-Israeli politics. Huckabee’s endorsement of the Israeli cause is well known; his current tour, for example, skipped visiting Bethlehem, which lies across the West Bank and involves corresponding with Palestinian leadership. “I’ve been a bit outspoken,” Huckabee said. “I’m not sure they’d be delighted to see me.”
