Church Sexual Abuse Crisis Far From Over, U.S. Cardinal Says
Phillip Pullella of Reuters reports that Cardinal Sean O’Malley of Boston warned his fellow clergy that abuse in the Church is still an ongoing problem, which needs to be addressed by the Vatican. O’Malley, speaking at a conference in Rome, said, “It would be perilous for us, as leaders of the Church, to consider that the scandal of clergy sexual abuse is for the most part a matter of history and not a pressing concern here and now.”
