Obama to Reveal ISIS Strategy – But Pledges “No Iraq War”

Julian Borger and Patrick Wintour of The Guardian report, “Barack Obama will announce a new US ‘game plan’ for an offensive against Islamic State (ISIS) this week.” Borger and Wintour write, “Obama went out of his way to stress that the new offensive would not represent the unraveling of his most prized foreign policy achievement, the extrication of his country from costly and bloody wars abroad.” Though the U.S. will not be sending ground troops to Iraq or Syria, Secretary of State John Kerry announced last week that a coalition of ten countries will join to fight ISIS.
