At CNN, Jessica Ravitz writes about her two-week journey to Rishikesh, a city near the Indian Himalayas known as a “spiritual hot spot.” While Ravitz originally intended “to study those around me, the people seeking answers I suspect I’ve already found,” she also ends up learning much about herself. In this piece, she draws on her conversations with “dozens of swamis, gurus, yogis, astrologers, healers, seekers and other residents and guests,” to describe both her own transformation as well as the journeys of many of the people around her.
