Practical, Principled Reasons to Pass Missouri Nondiscrimination Act

John C. Danforth, the former U.S. senator and ambassador as well as the namesake of the center that publishes R&P, has an op-ed in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch advocating for the passage of the Missouri Nondiscrimination Act. He writes, “This week, the Legislature will consider the Missouri Nondiscrimination Act, which would update our state’s human rights statute by adding sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of characteristics protected from discrimination. For reasons of both principle and practicality, I strongly support this legislation.”
