The Huffington Post reports that after months of violent protests and the ouster of President Viktor Yanukovych, the Ukrainian Parliament has elected Oleksandr Turchynov, a Baptist pastor, as the country’s interim president. Turchynov, who is the right hand man of recently released opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, is part of the country’s 2.4 percent Protestant minority and will remain interim president until May 25.
