The Huffington Post’s Jaweed Kaleem profiles the slow growth of religious minorities in Pakistan, a country that is 96 percent Muslim and ranked as one of the most hostile nations toward religious minorities, according to a recent Pew Research Center report. Nevertheless, stories of minority empowerment are cautiously emerging in the country. “Last fall, dozens of activists with the group Pakistan for All traveled between cities, forming human chains during Sunday services around churches throughout the country,” Kaleem writes. “Wherever it went, the group chanted one of its slogans: ‘one nation, one blood.’”
