NC Pastor to Kick Off Second Year of Demonstrations

Amanda Greene of Religion News Service reports that the Rev. William J. Barber II, who helped lead the Moral Mondays protests in Raleigh, is finalizing plans for a second year. A kick-off even, the Moral March, is scheduled for February 8. “Clergypersons are choosing to move in a prophetic tradition to challenge injustice and wrongs in government,” Barber said. “It’s our Jewish friends, Christian, Universalist, Muslim friends and others who are willing to put their voices and bodies on the line. That is significant when pulpits get on fire for justice.”
