TIME for Thanks: Rick Warren
In honor of Thanksgiving, TIME profiled public figures and asked them to share what they’re grateful for. Pastor Rick Warren, still grieving over the death of his son, confessed that Thanksgiving can be difficult during times of hardship, when identifying things for which to be thankful is not easy. Yet he notes, “No matter how good things are in my life, there are always problems I must deal with, and no matter how bad things are in my life, there are always blessings I can be grateful for…. This Thanksgiving, don’t dwell on what’s lost, but on what’s left.”
