Voters Reject Ban on Late-Term Abortions in Albuquerque

Faith Karimi and AnneClaire Stapleton of CNN report, “Voters rejected a ban on late-term abortions in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a proposal believed to be a first on a city level.” The ban would have outlawed abortions after 20 weeks and it “would also have opened a new frontier in abortion wars, which are traditionally tackled at the federal and state levels.” The vote was 55 percent against it and 45 percent in favor of it.
