LDS Church Responds to Priesthood Meeting Request by Activists

Joseph Walker of Deseret News writes about the response to a group of women’s request to attend the priesthood session at the LDS Church’s 183rd Semiannual General Conference taking place next week. The women have been denied tickets in advance, but have been invited to “view the live priesthood session broadcast.” Kate Kelly, founder of the Ordain Women movement said, “We will be in the line for standby tickets to the priesthood session on Oct. 5 to demonstrate our continued willingness and desire to attend.”
