USA Today reports, “A Tennessee judge reversed a ruling Wednesday ordering a mother to change her 8-month-old’s name from ‘Messiah.’” Chancellor Telford E. Forgety Jr. overturned the decision, saying the lower court acted unconstitutionally, and added that it’s original purpose was to determine the child’s last name. “I’m just happy … I’m just glad it’s over with,” said Jaleesa Martin, the child’s mother.
