US Role In Syrian Civil War Divides Arab-Americans

Jeff Karoub of the Associated Press reports on the divisions within Arab-American communities over the civil war in Syria. Within the Syrian community in the United States, which numbers about 150,000, tensions are rising as they wait to see what actions the Obama administration will take. “Everyone is staying home and doesn’t want to get involved,” said Osama Siblani, a Detroit-based engineer from Syria. “But on the ground and in their living rooms … they are segregated.”
