Evangelical Historian Remains Key Ally Of Right
Stephanie Simon of POLITICO analyzes David Barton’s return to power and his gaining political influence among social conservatives. Known for his controversial historical claims, Barton is attacking the Common Core academic standard put forth by the Obama administration saying it does not properly emphasize America’s Christian roots. On Glen Beck’s TV show, Barton said it poses “serious problems for the future of the republic.”
