Southern Baptist Ethicist Stays Busy

At USA Today, Bob Smietana profiles Russell Moore, the new chief ethicist for the Southern Baptist Convention, who has had a busy start to his tenure dealing with the Boy Scout ban and the DOMA ruling. Moore is also passionate about immigration reform and abortion, and believes the two are connected: “There is a way of dehumanizing unborn children by calling them embryos and fetuses, and there is a way of dehumanizing our immigration neighbors by calling them illegal aliens and anchor babies,” he said. “That’s not right.”
