Protests Swell As Republican Party Remakes North Carolina

Margaret Newkirk and Romy Varghese of Bloomberg News report on the growing protests in North Carolina over “tax breaks for the rich and the end of a credit for the poor,” which are in response to changes being pushed through by the Republican-led state government. The weekly events, dubbed Moral Mondays, have led to the arrest of more than 600 people, report Newkirk and Varghese.
