BuzzFeed‘s McKay Coppins  reports on the fracturing of Strategy Group for Media, “which serves as a campaign and strategy clearing house for the uncompromisingly conservative wing of the congressional caucus that has been at the center of American politics since 2010.” Coppins delves into the organization and its leader, Rex Elsass, including the conflicting events that led to Elsass abruptly firing three of his managers. Coppins writes, “Elsass is waging war on three of his former top aides in a bitter dispute that is, at its heart, over what it means to be truly Christian in American politics.”
