The Taliban’s New, More Terrifying Cousin

At The Atlantic, Jeffrey Stern reports on the violent Pakistani terrorist group, Lashkar e Jhangvi, “The Army of Jhangvi,” or LEJ. LEJ is a terrorist group attacking the Hazaras, “a group of Shia Muslims from Afghanistan with a large population in Pakistan,” Stern writes.  The intent of LEJ was made clear in an open letter that stated, “All Shi’ites are worth killing. We will rid Pakistan of unclean people. Pakistan means the land of the pure and the Shi’ites have no right to live in this country.”
