State of the Union? Divided

At The Washington Post, Robert P. Jones reviews the different stances on the most divisive political issues. Jones looks at the breakdown of opinion on immigration reform, climate change, gun control, the budget, and gay rights. Jones writes, “These divisions mark an ongoing battle on many of these issues. The question is whether, after this State of the Union, the president will be able to marshal public opinion behind him to bring his agenda to fruition, or whether he will be thwarted by a divided Congress and country.”
