DOJ Steps Up Prosecution of Pro-Life Protesters at Clinics

Emily Belz of Christianity Today reports, “In the past month, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has indicted more than a dozen pro-life protestors across the country for obstructing access to abortion clinics.” Charges under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) used to be relatively rare, with an average of only two per year in the last decade. After the overturning of Roe v. Wade, however, the DOJ created a special task force to pursue these charges.
