Walker’s Christian Fans Unfazed by Abortion Revelations

Natalie Allison of Politico reports that many of Herschel Walker’s Christian supporters are still backing the self-proclaimed anti-abortion Republican Senate candidate in the wake of allegations that he paid for his girlfriend’s abortion in 2009. Many of Walker’s Christian supporters argue that his policy proposals are more important than his personal behavior. Anthony George, the pastor of First Baptist Church in Atlanta, said, “Do you wait for a candidate who perfectly aligns with everything you not only want them to do when they’re elected, but all of your cultural and moral beliefs? Or do you take what’s given to you and make the choice between the options?”
