Ahead of the Holidays, Christian Charities Plan Around Supply Chain Holdups

Ericka Anderson of Christianity Today reports, “Hundreds of charities across the country are feeling the crunch of the global supply chain crisis, which is coming to national attention ahead of the holiday season.” Two pressing concerns for charities are rising prices and the shortage of food supplies for common holiday meals. Some organizations are relying on their stockpiles of goods to make up for the delivery delays while others have been forced to decrease their capacity to serve. Ethan Forhetz, the national spokesperson for Convoy of Hope, an organization that provides food and disaster relief, said, “Navigating this crisis hasn’t been easy, but the Lord continues to make a way.”
