Vice President Kamala Harris Headlines Antisemitism Conference

Yonat Shimron of Religion News Service reports, “Vice President Kamala Harris headlined the opening session of the Anti-Defamation League’s Never Is Now conference Sunday (Nov. 7), with a full-throated support for fighting a rising tide of antisemitism.” Harris delivered a three-minute video presentation to kick off the conference in which she said, “Sadly, we know antisemitism is not a relic of the past. In fact, in recent years, the Jewish American community has faced an alarming rise in hate crime.” The remarks come a month after Harris was criticized for praising a university student who claimed that Israel was committing “ethnic genocide.”
