The Mississippi Clinic at the Center of the Fight to End Abortion in America

Emily Wax-Thibodeaux and Ariana Eunjung Cha of The Washington Post report from the last abortion clinic in Mississippi, whose fate may be decided by an upcoming Supreme Court case challenging Roe v. Wade. The case concerns a Mississippi law that would ban abortion after 15 weeks. At the Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which is known as the “Pink House,” the reporters witness a clash of beliefs, as there are protesters on both sides of the abortion issue outside its pink walls. “[Diane] Derzis, the owner of the Pink House, also sees herself as serving God and the most vulnerable, and has Bibles and crosses throughout the clinic,” the reporters write.
