America’s Leading Atheist, Accused of Sexual Misconduct, Speaks Out

For The Washington Post, Kimberly Winston writes about alleged misconduct against women by American atheist leaders. David Silverman, the former president of American Atheists, was fired in April after allegations of both sexual and financial misconduct. Silverman said, “I apologize for all of the things I did wrong. But I did not break consent, ever.” Winston writes, “Organized secularism has been struggling with charges of misogyny, sexism and sexual harassment for almost a decade.”
